Although the 3D printer also belongs to the printing equipment, but with the ink used for printing on the paper printer is clearly a huge difference. And recently, according to foreign media reports, an Italian 18-year-old student spent only 10 euros, the inkjet printer will be successfully converted into a 3D printer.
It is reported that the student named Lizzit removed three old inkjet printers and a flatbed scanner to get the necessary parts. Lizzit said the scanner's plastic sheet was reported to provide very good adhesion for printing, but still need to purchase extruded head, ATmega328, driver board and a large current transistor and other parts to modify the 3D printer.
According to reports, this 3D printer can achieve 33 micron print resolution, after updating the firmware, it can automatically clean the nozzle blockage, and choose the correct filament temperature and so on. Lizzit said the project was designed to prove that the use of linear encoders from inkjet printers can be performed with fairly accurate printing and is inexpensive.
